Contribute to Heartwood¶
Heartwood is developed by the Schmiedmayer Lab at Stanford University and open-source contributors. Contributions should preserve the shared project, gateway, OpenHands, interface, platform, and evidence contracts rather than introducing parallel workflows.
Before You Start¶
Read the repository contribution guide, code of conduct, and AGENTS.md. Check GitHub Issues and the Heartwood Project for scoped work and acceptance criteria.
Contribution Areas¶
- core project, session, policy, audit, and schema contracts;
- OpenHands adapter and agent-tool integration;
- terminal, browser, and notebook presentations;
- Heartwood-managed and hosted model planning;
- platform adapters and deployment artifacts;
- repository-verified research Skills;
- deterministic, capable-model, container, and platform testing; and
- user-facing and technical documentation.
Use synthetic data in every public example, test, screenshot, and issue reproduction.
